About me

Hi, my name's Laura and i'm the face behind Furever Friends Pet Portraits!

I grew up in Northamptonshire then moved away for 5 years to study Fashion Photography and Visual Arts at a creative university just outside of London. After freelancing and working in fashion, the publications and commercial industry for a while, I moved back to my hometown in 2020 and spent the summer photographing my friends and families pets. I’d say this is when I found my calling as a pet photographer, as I’ve never looked back since!

Growing up with rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, cats and even acquiring chinchillas for a while, I’ve always been a huge lover of animals. You can be rest assured that I’ve always been the ‘fun aunty’ either to a friend, family member or neighbours dog too.

What else do I do?

When I’m not taking photos, you’ll find me working my second job as a pet care expert at my local pet care centre, as well as training as a an assistant stylist in dog grooming. Due to this, I’ve been able to train in dog and cat nutrition, puppy and kitten care, dog first aid and even dog behaviour.

You may also come across me volunteering at local charity dog shows, events and dog walks to capture the magic of the day, or attending shows such as Crufts, Dog Festivals or Country Fairs to stay in on the action… If there’s dogs there, then you’d be sure to find me too!
